A dica de hoje é para ajudar na hora de escrever uma redação em inglês, mas que acabará ajudando também em português, já que a estrutura e as técnicas são praticamente as mesmas.
Vamos supor que você tenha que escrever uma opinião sobre algum assunto. Escolhi falar sobre um livro.
Vou organizar a redação em 4 parágrafos, que é o que normalmente é pedido aos alunos.
O primeiro parágrafo é a introdução (acho que todos já sabem, né?). Comece com uma ideia apenas, expressa numa frase inicial.
Exemplo:
I have recently read the book "Me Before You" and I thought it was a wonderul read.
Pronto, uma simples frase, bem direta.
Agora, diga 2 razões justificando a frase acima. Lembre-se de apenas mencionar as razões e não desenvolvê-las agora. O desenvolvimento será nos 2 parágrafos seguintes.
Written by Jojo Moyes, this book is one of those that stays with you. First, because the plot is incredibly well-paced. Second, because the characters are believable and consistent.
Pronto. Você já tem dois argumentos que serão desenvolvidos no corpo da redação.
Agora vamos ao desenvolvimento. Temos que explicar os dois motivos apresentados na introdução - o ritmo do enredo (pace) e as personagens (characters). Um parágrafo para cada argumento.
One of the strengths of the book is the pace. The author does not linger or drone on aspects that do not add to the story. On the contrary, the pace is quite fast and that is why it captures the reader's attention. We follow the characters' lives in a way that it is both involving and interesting. We never feel that it is too long or too short. The story of Will, a former CEO of a successful company, and Louisa, a simple, working-class girl, and the way their separate universes mingle is told in a balanced rhythm.
Agora, temos que falar sobre as personagens.
Another great achievement of the author is the character development. Jojo Moyes has created believable characters. We can certainly identify ourselves with them because they could be real. There is no hero or villain here. Each character has his/her own weaknesses and strenghts, and, most importantly, they have their (totally justified) reasons to be the way they are or do the things they do. Throughout the story, they remain true to themselves.
A próxima etapa agora é fazer a conclusão. Lembre-se de não incluir nenhuma nova ideia ou argumento na conclusão, apenas reiterar o que foi explicado no desenvolvimento.
Based on these reasons, "Me Before You" will certainly capture even the most demanding reader. There is nothing in the plot or in the characters that places a strain on our attention. Although the book is a tearjerker, it also contains some funny parts that will keep the reader hooked. Jojo Moyes managed to balance everything.
Você pode usar este mesmo esquema para qualquer redação em que precisar apresentar sua opinião. O melhor é organizar as ideias primeiro. Selecione o que realmente importa e no que você quer se concentrar. Por exemplo, sobre este livro que escrevi, havia outras dezenas de argumentos que eu poderia falar: a história em si, as implicações da história, o final, as possíveis discussões morais que o livro incita e por aí vai. Mas, escolhi estes dois aspectos. Se fosse um ensaio ou uma monografia, tudo seria diferente. No caso de uma redação simples, este esquema de 4 parágrafos é bem útil. Se o professor pedir que você fale sobre 3 aspectos, por exemplo, você terá 3 parágrafos no desenvolvimento - um para cada aspecto. O importante é lembrar que PARA CADA IDEIA, UM PARÁGRAFO.
